Terms and Conditions for Allan's Fin Vault

These Terms and Conditions explain how you can use Allan's Fin Vault and what you are responsible for when you install and use the app.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Allan's Fin Vault (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not install or use the App.

2. How the app works and your responsibilities

Allan's Fin Vault is an offline‑first finance tracker. The main database is stored locally on your device and is not automatically sent to our own servers.

2.1 Data loss and backups

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of the data you enter into the App.

  • Manual backups: any backup or export feature in the App must be triggered by you. Automatic cloud syncing is not turned on by default.
  • Device events: we are not responsible for data loss caused by lost, stolen, damaged, or reset devices, or from uninstalling the App.

2.2 Supported devices and modifications

Allan's Fin Vault is intended to run on standard, unmodified versions of supported operating systems (for example, Android). We do not guarantee the App will work correctly on rooted, jailbroken, or heavily modified devices, or on custom ROMs.

3. Use of Google services (optional backup)

The App may offer optional integration with Google services such as Google Sign‑In and Google Drive so that you can store your own backup file.

  • You agree to follow Google’s Terms of Service.
  • Allan's Fin Vault uses your Google account only to create and manage backup files in your Google Drive as requested by you. It does not manage or access other unrelated files in your Drive.
  • We are not responsible for the uptime, availability, or behaviour of Google’s services.

4. Deleting data and account‑related actions

Allan's Fin Vault does not create an online account with us, and we do not keep your finance data on our own servers. Any “reset”, “clear data”, or similar option within the App affects only the data stored on your device.

If you have created backup files (for example in your device storage or Google Drive), those files are under your control. You must delete them yourself if you no longer want them to exist.

5. Intellectual property

The Allan's Fin Vault app, including its name, logo, and visual design, is owned by the developer. You may not use the branding or assets in a way that suggests your own product is Allan's Fin Vault or is officially endorsed by it, without written permission.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

  • No financial advice: Allan's Fin Vault is a record‑keeping tool. It does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice, and we are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on information shown in the App.
  • No guarantee of error‑free operation: although the App is developed with care, we do not guarantee it will be free from bugs, interruptions, or errors.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the App after changes are published, you accept the updated terms.
